Asus z97 Gryphon Armor Edition, 32 GB RAM issue ever resolved?

I read somewhere there was an issue using 32GB RAM with the Gryphon Mobo.
Is there any current info on that?

I've seen things where people tried to run 32GB and had problems - generally with DRAM faster than the CPU (the MC (memory controller)) could handle, or with an early BIOS and didn't want to update BIOS or make adjustments, but nothing like a physical problem - i.e. it can't run 32GB, as it can, have run 2400 sticks on the Gryphon (and it's rated to 1866)
