Hi there

I've got a well-functioning computer with this Asus Z97-K Motherboard which I cannot get to use the HDMI on. I've tried to google it since I'm not that much of a computer technician and it says something with enabling it in the BIOS. This I cannot find. Is it me that's blind or this incredibly hard to find?

Kind Regards.

I'm fairly new to the inside of a computer still, so I'll probably need some help here with explaining what configuration I have. I'm just gonna type what I know and hope that helps a bit..

I'm using an ATI Radeon 7970 where I have plugged both of my monitors in (1 DMI & 1 HDMI) where as I'd like my TV to be used from my Motherboard. I use windows 7? :s - I'm a very big "noob" to this area. sorry.

Kind Regards

Oh. I've might written it a bit misleading. Sorry! - I know how to find the BIOS, but I can't find the place I can do stuff with my HDMI thingy on my motherboard :)

Bad newes: only a few motherboards support, what you want to do. Most disable the onboard graphics of the Intel cpu when you plug in another card, like the Radeon in your case. Just stay with both monitors plugged in the Radeon.

well that's dumb.. 😱 - So I just have a bunch of acces points for multiple monitors on my motherboard which I have no use for. Well that's great :s - What possibilities is there to gain more than 2 monitors on 1 computer then? Since I'd like to get my TV on my computer aswell so I don't have to switch around all the time..

One card with more outputs or - in your case - another ATI card, if you have the required PCI-E slot on the mobo.

What if we look away from my gfx card and just look at the motherboard itself. How would I ever be able to use it to the "max" ? - Doesn't really make sense in my head that it doesn't "work", but maybe it's just me that shouldn't understand such.
