Hi,
I'm building folowing configuration:
Intel i7 Devil's Canyon 4790K
Asus z97-k or Asus z97-a
Patriot 2x4GB 1600MHz
Samsung 840 evo 120GB SSD
Cooler Master G 600W

1st Asus z97-k is about 30$ cheaper then Asus z97-a, and it's enough to buy 4790K instead of regular 4790. What will I lose if I go for z97-k?
2nd Later I will upgrade my configuration with HDD and Asus radeon r9 270x dcu2 top oc 2gb gddr5. Is Cooler Master G 600W enough for this?
3rd Do you have any suggestions for case (~100$) or any other component?

P.S. I'm not planing to OC any of the components, and main purpose of this machine will be work.

If you are not planning to OC then there is no reason to get the i5-K chip or a Z series motherboard, just get a 4790 and an H series motherboard.

500w would be enough but i'd look at XFX and SeaSonic for cheap good quality PSU's, sometimes the Antec HCG and Rosewill Capstone can also be found for cheap.
For a great budget case i'd go for the Corsair 300R.

When you say it is for work, what sort of work? Just like word/excel and general business programs? I'll put something together for you in a moment.

i7 4790K has higher stock frequency and lower temperatures, and its 30$ difference.
I live in Bosnia, so it's problem to find some parts from some manufacturers like XFX and SeaSonic.
I'm working as a Android programmer, so I use Eclipse, Photoshop, Android emulator ...

Ok, to be honest I don't know anything about the requirements for android programming, so i'm going to have to trust your judgement on needing an i7, I would have thought you could get away with a lighter processor like an i5-4690 or Xeon E3 1230 V3. If you're happy to pay an extra $30 for the higher clocks than go for it, I just thought you were trying to save money since you are not buying the GPU till later.

If you are going to get a CM PSU, than go for something a little higher end than the G series. No point getting an awesome rig to skimp out on the PSU and cooler master aren't really known for their PSUs. Can you get EVGA, NZXT?

As I don't really know what parts are available to you, it's probably not worth me putting a build together, but if you have any questions about components than feel free to ask me.

As for the difference between the Z97-A and K, the A is a higher end board that has a few extra features, and generally better quality, but as to whether you will miss out on anything, not really. You won't lose any performance either since you will not be overclocking, and even if you were the difference would be pretty minor.

To be honest, I don't really need high-end i7 processor right now, but I think that it will be better long-term investment.
And if I ever need a bit more power I can OC my processor a bit. I don't have a budget to buy good PC with ~300$ graphic card at once, but I can spend 50$ more on some part. I have budget of about 1000$ + 400$ on graphic card and HDD, and keep in mind that computer parts are about 10-20% more expensive here in Bosnia then in USA or EU.
It's hard to get EVGA and NZXT. Currently I can get CoolerMaster, Thermaltake, Chieftec and some really shitty stuff like Blueberry. Do you think that it will be better investment to go for i5 4690K, and buy better PSU and case? Difference between i7 4790K and i5 4690K is about 130$.

Thanks for the tips :).

hey vladimir, I'm from Croatia and i just bought my pc 2 days ago and this is how it went... I'm gaming mostly so I decided to go for i5 4690k
What I would highly recommend you:

1) CASE: Fractal Design Arc midi r2 because it has really good airflow and it costs 150KM, see the review of it on the youtube/forums
2) PSU: I bought XFX 850w Bronze certified non modular psu for 194KM, reason why I chose 850w is because I want to upgrade it in the future... you can pick XFX 750w or Corsair 750w (it costs about 150KM)
if you go for 600W then you can't buy really powerfull GPU, at least I would not because PSU will be using over 85% of itself and I don't like that
3) I bought asus z97-a motherboard because it has SLI and z97-k does not it has only crossfire, also because it came with the latest BIOS on it for devil's canyon cpu so I didn't have upgrade my BIOS.. here you can compare asus motherboards http://www.asus.com/us/site/motherboards/Z97/comparison/

I would stick with i7 processor since you're working in photoshop, and maybe if you will be doing rendering in the future because it has hyperthreading and outperforms i5 in that, for gaming they are quite the same...
I would also buy Hyper 212 evo CPU cooler for the i7 so you can overclock it just a bit in the future when you will be needing an overclock because it's a shame to buy k-version of cpu and z97 motherboard if you dont mean to overclock it... ever ^^

If you want to save some money go for fx 8320 cpu, Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard and Hyper 212 evo and clock it, they work together like a charm!

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions :)
