Asus z97-p I/O issue

to reference my motherboard ^^^^^


on the very top of my i/o ports, there is a flimsy loop hovering over the keyboard port..what am i supposed to do with that? This combined with the numerous metal tabs on the back of the flimsy i/o panel that came with the mobo is giving me fits.

Hello, I know it has been some time since you posted this, but did you ever get it solved? I had the same exact issue with this motherboard, I could not figure out those metal tabs, so I cut them off with a metal snip!! What a crap design!! Took me an hour to get the darn motherboard into position with that I/O shield, I called ASUS, but they had no idea, they told me to call their e-store and see if they had an I/O shield without the metal tabs, but it was late Friday, and the e-store was closed.. thanks. john.
