Asus Z97-Pro Gamer is it good? Any rivals or competitors?

Hi , i need help in choosing a Reliable mobo that supports 1150 CPU & has support for SSD & 1 PCI slot for gtx 970. Any suggestions? Also where can get best prices? Mostly running VM's & sometime games.

Asus are the best when it comes to mobo right? Also i will assemble my rig without a GPU now. Will get GPU later. Any suggestions?

I think so, I also build with the Rock and GB mobos, but generally Asus is the first choice, in that price range might also look at their Z97-A or Z97-Pro
