ASUS Z97 PRO: Q-Code / Error Code "00" ... But PC seems to work.

Hello all,

I recently put together a PC with following components:
-Core i7 4790K
-CM Hyper T4 CPU Cooler
-Asus Z97 Pro Wifi AC
-G.Skill RipJaws 2x4GB 1600 9-9-9-24

The ASUS motherboard shows the code "00" which, according to the manual, means "not used."
Prior to this I was seeing "A0" which is apparently normal. However, after googling around, it seems "00" definitely indicates some sort of error. But everyone who seems to be getting the same error can't seem to start their system up at all... Mine starts up and works fine... or seems to.

Help appreciated.

It's probably just a closing code, have seen it on a few Asus mobos and none have problems

UPDATE:

I got the CPU/Motherboard exchanged. I get the normal A0 code now. Not sure what was wrong...

I have the exact same problem 🙁
bought my mobo 1 months ago. It was showing A0 earlier. but today it started to display 00. everything seems to be working fine but I am still worried. What can I do ?

00 is an unused code, so basiccally just all is OK no errors

So as it turns out, my motherboard still shows "00" (I think I just didn't wait long enough for it to arrive there before posting my last update). Called ASUS support, and as other have said, this indicates normal operation. So all is OK.

windows update will cause the Q code 00. just uninstall the last windows update that u installed before the Q code 00. always work for me.
