Question Asus Z97M-PLUS - Nuvoton NCT6791D High Temps, Electrical burn smell

Hi everyone, I have been trying to figure out what I may need to do to fix this issue. I ran Open Hardware Monitor and generated a report linked below. Under Nuvoton NCT6791D, I am seeing high temps for #4-6.
This is my first build from 2013 and it has been running flawlessly since. The only thing I changed was adding a Noctua D14 after my Corsair H75 gave out. This was two years ago. Two weeks ago I started smelling what I can only describe as "a new cheap plastic swimming pool" smell. I thought it was my AC unit but didn't realize it was coming from my computer until it shut off on me.
Searching forums and reddit, I only found speculation that this may be a faulty sensor however none of those posts made any mention of the odor. None had solutions other than to ignore the readings. I am hoping someone can help me here. Point me in the right direction on what I should look at when I take it apart or should I bite the bullet and buy a new motherboard or PSU? Temps on everything else seem okay but I'm posting my pcpartpicker list and the OHW report in case someone sees something I am missing. Thanks to anyone who can provide some insight.

Symptoms
  • PC running idle, after 2-3 minutes the smell starts
  • shut down after 15-20 minutes, smell is much stronger
  • Nuvoton NCT6791D #4-6 reading 103-105 temps
  • Nothing has been overclocked, straight vanilla building using these components
