Asus Zenbook fans spinning at 100%

Hi all, I've been having to following issue with my Asus Zenbook UX32LA:

As soon as I boot up the device the fans start spinning at 100%. First I tried to fix it by changing the fan speed in SpeedFan, but no luck. After this I realised that this probably won't work, because the issue is already there before Windows has even started. So, I tried to reflash the BIOS with the latest version I found on the Asus website, but this still didn't fix it.

Now I'm thinking it's probably a hardware issue, so I would like to now what is causing the problem and if it's easy to fix (meaning: would I be able to do it myself)?

My CPU temperature is around 35 °C.

If it is that low, then that is very strange to go to 100%
Have you tried booting up in windows safe mode?
This will/should let you know if it is a software problem or a hardware/bios problem as it should reset it to normal speeds under safemode.

Thanks for the tip, but they're still spinning at 100% in safe mode.

Then it has to be BIOS or hardware failure, can't think of what else it could be.
