Hi Everyone
I purchased a 2nd hand Asus ZenBook UX430U for my wife, not a lot of ports on it
We attempted to use a Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub on it, but we can't seem to get it to work.
I believe we have ruled out that the hub or port is faulty because:
It will attempt to reconnect the device several times, until it finally stops.
During this time it will be appearing on and off on the device manager saying USB Device (Port Reset Failed) or something like that.
I've tried all the basic trouble shooting one would try such as installing drivers for the hub from the Lenovo website, installing all windows updates, attempting to reinstall/update drivers via the device manager, etc
One of the other suggestions is to update the Bios, but I'm not brave enough to try that mainly because I don't know what to do and I know it can kill a laptop.
I don't mind buying a different hub, but I am concerned I may spend another $100-$150 and it may just suffer similar issues.
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions or an easy fix for this one?
Or in failing that, does anyone know of another hub that they are 100% confident will be compatible with this laptop?
Cheers

- The Travel Hub works on our other laptop without issue
- We can plug in another USB-C to HDMI adapter into the same port, and that also works without issue
