Asus Zenfone 4 sim card

I bought the Zenfone 4 and I've been trying to insert the simple card from my metro pcs provider. For a reason I can't understand the "cellular data" is not available. I tried to customize the APN but no luck. I guess my other option is to get a T-Mobile sim card but I still would like to continue using MetroPCS. Any useful ideas??? I really would like to keep the phone instead of returning it.

Did you actually contact Metro PCS to activate the phone?
