AT&T internet is freezing up my mouse!

this just started this morning after I got AT&T internet. It keeps freezing up my mouse for like 3 seconds every 10 seconds or so when I am online.. but when I disconnect it, the mouse is perfectly fine.. what is this ?

I just plugged it into a different USB port and the problem seems to be gone.. wierd..
