• Happy holidays, folks! Thanks to each and every one of you for being part of the Tom's Hardware community!

At what kind of video games should I play with my low-end desktop computer?

Mostly old and less demanding games like Bioshock 1 AC1 GTA:SA Minecraft Splinter Cell Double Agent and older ones.Hitman Blood Money, BF2, Fifa 14,AC2, Portal 1..only these could come to mind right now..😀

Mostly all the games, with reduced settings, except the super power hungry ones like - Metro 2033, Crysis, Battlefield, the new Assassins Creeds etc. those will probably struggle at the lowest settings and resolutions. But the less demanding ones like Skyrim and Starcraft 2 should run fine with low resolution(Like 720p or sometimes lower) and medium graphics.
With worse GPU- 9400gt and a loooot worse CPU - AMD athlon x2 64 dual core 3800+ I could play older games like Oblivion and Burnout paradise on high settings and 1680x1050p resolution. I got Skyrim only because I was a real fan of TES games, and I took the risk of hoping that it would run on my pc, and it did - 1280x720p and lowest settings. 😀 So you're not all that doomed with your pc.

I have the same gpu, so the games I have tried are (none of them lags)
