I am looking to upgrade my computer. I will start with the cpu and motherboard. I'm deciding between the athlon 3200 with a Asus K8V se deluxe or the 3400 with the Asus K8N e deluxe. Is the 3400 worth the extra $100.00. Or should I go with the 3200 and save the money and put it toward a new video card?

The extra $100 bucks would deffaintly give you more bang for your buck if you put it towards a video card. It depends on what your budget is, but most likely an extra $100, would be better spent on a video card in most cases.

If you are going to be playing the newest games out there, spending more on a higher end video card will be much more noticeable than a faster chip. Go for the 3200+ and spend the extra money on a video card.
