I want to know if I buy ECC memory can my Athlon 64 (3500+) will be able to use it or ECC memory are only for the FX cpu.
Thank.

Registered DDR memory are only usable on Socket940 AMD64 MoBo. So, unless you buy an Opteron or an Athlon FX for Socket940 you don'T need to wrry or bother about Registered DDR memory. Socket 754 and 939 use "normal" DDR memory.

3500+ designed to support unbuffered ECC/non-ECC memory. Would guess that the motherboard/BIOS would have to be designed to support it also.
