Athlon 700 at 1000 MHz..

I would like to know if an athlon at 700 mhz will be safe running at 1000mhz for a long period of time...I have an
Asus A7V w/ Dipswitches and it has been running overclocked
for the past 13 days...It seems to be fine all the time..During games, normal operations in windows, office etc....Although, when put through 3d mark 2000, it locks up...Is this just a Video card issue??? I have 2 Voodoo 2's and I have come to the conclusion that the video is the problem.... Is this the issue or is the core overheating?
The athlon has been runninig at 127 degres solid...

Try messing with the video card. If it still locks up then try upping the voltage. You can also try better cooling. If these things don't work, try taking it back down to 950 and see if it becomes more stable. But I think you are right, it is probably the video card.
It should run fine overclocked for a very long time.

If you happen to be running Win2K there is an AGP bug that happens to show up in 3D Mark 2000 but it can cause data loss when AGP graphics is used in any application. Check this out.

No other version of Windows is afflicted with this bug.
