i can get a stable 3.3-3.4ghz OC, yet occassionally upon shutdown/restart, i get cmos bad error, so i have to reconfigure the OC in bios, then it works fine again..any ideas whats up??
I wouldn't recommend overclocking on that motherboard. It probably can't maintain a stable voltage through the motherboard VRMs.
Possibly Agreed, tried various settings, small tweaks here & there, but i think im getting close..or closer..currently running @ 3329mhz (3.3ghz) with no boot errors so far 2day..so maybe.....but yh alot of time for nothing really
Seems like only a new motherboard would do the trick. Then again wait till you can get a new system upgrade as that might be a better option rather than paying so much for another mobo.
