athlon x4 760k vs 845 860

how much performance is there in difference between the three cpus? i got a old fm2 system that im looking to sell but need to upgrade the cpu. i can get 760k for 30 s used and 845 for about 55 s. new and 860 for 65 s new. thanks

Did you check CPU compatibility list for your MB ? If it's not FM2+ it may not be compatible with all Athlon or APU processors or may need BIOS update.

yes its fm2+ and supports all of them

from what i understand there is not much difference between the 860k and 845 but how big is the gap to the 760 k?

There's only frequency gap as they are of same architecture. You'll have to decide if it's worth it.

Should be slightly better than Intel 775 quad core processors as it's of newer design. For those Intel processors you'd need another MB and possibly RAM.
