Hi there

I have noticed that the core temps are very high whenever I put a little load on the CPU. If I let it idle, it goes down to 17C or less which makes no sense. It goes above 70C always! I am using speedfan because most programs can't seem to detect the temp sensors on this cpu. Speccy, coretemp.. non of those work. Here is a picture of my BIOS temps... You can see its 70C+ too.

I have done reapplying the thermal paste twice... no difference. The cooler is a Raijintek Zelos and the thermal paste is a Tuniq TX2. I also added a 140mm Silverstone fan to my HTPC case. Not helping either.

That's too bad. Did you try HW Info, I find it closely corresponding temperatures with AOD.
Your main concern is temps at high loads, idle temps were never accurate with AMD processors.

Yes.. will not start. Says "cannot find AMD CPU or current CPU doesnt support overdrive". I also tried AMD System Monitor. Gigabyte's System Monitor crashes if I try to start up. Core temp gives me "0" temp.
