Hi.
So yesterday I installed my new X4 860K in my PC. With nothing open but speedfan, my temperature is between 44-46c when idle. Considering I have the stock cooler, I know that the temps may be high but I'm a bit concerned with those idle temperatures. The lowest I've seen the temps at was 39c which was about the temperature that my old A8-5500 was. I just want to have someone elses opinion on it.

In terms of cooling in the PC, I have no case fans at this point but I do have the side panel off.
When gaming the temperatures go up to around 50C but I'm pretty sure that that would be expected with the stock cooler as my old A8 was around 50 with the same games.

If you need specs, here they are.
AMD Athlon x4 860k - Not overclocked and with stock cooler
ASUS Radeon RX550
OEM ASUS motherboard - retail model is A55BM
4GB RAM
inside an ASUS M32BF pre-built PC case

Also SpeedFan is reporting the core temperature to be between 30-37.

Thanks in advance.

Heya Wolfy !

44°C is Perfectly fine... yes 40C may be a bit high for Idle but far from something to worry about....

Please Start a CPU Stresstest like Prime95 and check how high the Temps go...
