Hi guys, I'm going to upgrade my CPU from a A6 6400K or something to an Athlon X4 860k, for better performance. However I'm not too sure whether it's a good cpu for gaming. It's quite a cheap cpu and some people say it's good for gaming other say it isn't so what's your view on it. The games that I will play are (what kind of frames will i get):
BF4
FSX
X-plane 10
h1z1
Metro 2033
others.

Also I suspect that my current chip is bottlenecking my MSI gaming Nivida GTX 750Ti, decreasing the performance of some games, well quite a few. Will the Athlon X4 860k bottleneck my GPU or will it not ????? Cause I want good frames.

Lastly you may be thinking why not upgrade to intel......well i'm on a tight budget that pretty much restricts me to FM2+ MB and AMD, I know intel are good but moving to intel will make me buy a new MB and a new OEM licence for windows. So if there are any other suggestions for a AMD CPU please tell me.

Thanks

I have a the 860k and a gtx 760. I am maxing out the gtx 760 before the 860k. I was also able to overclock it to 4.3 ghz very easily. I think it is a very nice enty gaming cpu. I don't play those specific games, but i get pretty great fps in games that are gpu dependent.
The 860K/A10-7850K is the top end CPU for the FM2+ platform. So as long as you stay with the same board, that is the best you can do. The 860K will keep up with faster cards than the 750 Ti, if you want that to be your next upgrade. I had one running with a GTX 960, but haven't checked CPU usage vs GPU usage yet. I suspect the 960 to be about the top car w/o bottlenecking issues, tho.

What games do you play ?

I play warthunder, payday 2, league of legends, world of tanks, skyrim. A big variety. In league of legends i can get up to 130 fps and minimums of 80 fps. In skyrim v sync is always on. I get 60 fps always though even with a enb and texture mods. payday 2 i get a minimum of 60 fps and up to about 85 fps. In warthunder i get up to 120 fps and a minimum of about 45 in ground battles.
