Athlon x4 860k overheating

I am using an athlon x4 860k on stock frequencies and stock cooler with aftermarket thermal paste but cpuid is saying its about 105°C at idle and amd overdrive said it is at 10 till its max. I was trying to sell this computer but pulled it when the temps sky rocketed. I need help.

The 105c reading is nonsense. A thermal margin of 10 is warm but as long as it stays above zero, it's alright.

I suggest removing the heatsink, cleaning it, and reseating it with fresh thermal paste.

I have removed the heatsink cleaned it reseated it with fresh thermal paste and the heatsink is too hot to the touch

If the heatsink is physically hot, that means it's making good contact but the fan either isn't spinning, or it's not spinning fast enough. My next suggestion is to go into BIOS and adjust your fan speed profile.

The fan was spinning at full speed and it was pushing out alot of hot air
