Hi,

First, sorry for my bad english i´m spanish.

The fsb for the XP2800+ is 333, no? Can i change the fsb to 400?

Is stable and/or factible?
Recomendatios for a cooler to this?

Thnaks.

What motherboard are you using ? Since the 2800+ has a native multiplier of
12.5, if the multiplier is locked, you may be limited to a lower FSB. Yes,
it can be very stable at 200MHz FSB or faster.

The stock retail cooler works well enough in many cases. This Vantec is
quite good as well:

Ups, I´m sorry, the correct url is http://www.ocinside.de/index_e.html
Go to Workshop section, choose the document titled "Interactive Pin-Mod
guide v1.2 for AMD Athlon XP, T-Bred and Barton CPUs" and choose your
options (vcore and multiplier is not important)

Lord...

P.D.
Te lo pongo en ingles, no se vaya a moskear por aki la peña, si no me
entiendes te lo pongo in spanish, ;-)

It is quite likely that you may have a failure if you set the FSB in
the BIOS to 400Hmz..

Just the other day, I thought exactly the same thing with my XP3000
and set the FSB to 400 Mhz. The PC refused to boot. It just sat there
with a blank screen and would not do anything. I had to short out the
"BIOS Reset" pins in the motherboard,, then it booted. After that, I
had to go back into BIOS and set all my settings again..

Of course, it depends on which motherboard you have and which settings
you have on it but "Be Careful"... I think the natural setting for
that CPU, like mine, is 333 Mhz - NOT 400 Mhz...
