Athlon1.1 Temp

I have a new athlon 1.1g and the temp reported is 56-57c. I know this is within acceptable limits but i would like to know if i install the swiftech 370ao fan/hs and my temp drops to the tested range of 35-40c what will i notice in terms of either performance/life of my processor?

Yes... your temp will drop dramatically. Make sure you have a good thermal compound- like arctic silver.

Firstly it will of course lengthen the life of your processor.
Secondly the temp will rise from the 56-57 range when doing CPU intensive work or playing games, so your better off with some decent cooling. Try running a game for half an hour of better yet run FlaskMPEG if you use it, and check the temperature afterwards.
