Hi!

Do ati cards support 3d? I have a hd 7950 and I would like to try playing some 3d games.

if ati does have 3d, what games have 3d that is compatible ?

thanks!

I'm not sure ATI has a compatibility list, but Nvidia does show a compatibility list in their control panel. For the most part, they support the same games.

Here is one I found for Tridef, one of the two primary support software for HD3D: http://www.tridef.com/user-guide/supported-games

I've also found a great side for 3D Vision, if you decide to go that route, that fixes many games that normally have issues: http://helixmod.wikispot.org/gamelist

It doesn't mention how compatible they are, unfortunately. Nvidia's list shows quite a few that are poor, fair, good, excellent and near perfect. You may find some in that list aren't perfect.

HD3D will cause your GPU to create two images for every frame. One calculated from about 4 inches to the side of the other, then it sends those two images to the monitor to be displayed one after the other, so each eye sees a different perspective, as we normally see in real life.

ok....the reason im asking is because i have the sony 3d glasses ( i use the 3d display too , but the 3d on this guy is only for ps3, not pc).

so i wonder, if i can test my 3d glasses on games that have 3d stereotrophy (without having to install 3rd party drivers)

I see......

I have one last question then....if I bought all my parts(computer and the 3d display tv) in Canada, (im american), will I be protected by their warranty? say if something went wrong, can I still RMA?
