Ati 4350 vs intel HD 3000

So i just built a new system with the i5 2500k chip, and also have a sapphire 4350 until i get something decent. For the mean time which will be better for gaming? Also my mother board is a Gigabyte P67 UD3 with no display out put. Am i able to use either and see which is better for a few games eg fallout and some slightly oldrer less intense titles

So further investigation the sandy bridge review on TH shows that the intel HD 3000 is equivilent to a 4550, so how can i use my video card video output with the intel graphics?

Sorry! Just read this on bittech "Another seriously limiting factor of Intel's new desktop CPUs is the fact that all but the K-series use the cut-down HD 2000 graphics, yet the H67 chipset, which is needed to use the IGP, doesn't allow you to overclock the K-series. Until Intel launches its still mysterious Z67 chipset in the second quarter of this year, which merges the H67 and P67, you'll be better off buying a cheaper LGA1155 CPU and opting for a discrete, low-profile graphics card". So does that mean im stuck with my 4350

Almost on the same realm with you... I have the i3-2100 w/ HD 2000 4GB Ram and an H61 ASRock board. I was running 20fps on Fair on WOW. I borrowed my Buddy's spare NVIDIA GEForce 7950 GT OC 256Mb DDR3 Card, I now get no lower then 45fps and peak at 61fps. Settings are now good->High, with slight direct mods on the video options.

That same friend has a new i7 2600k recently built with the HD3000 and gets around MID 20's (fps) on good. So its slightly better on the 3000 vs the 2000 in this aspect, but having the external card (with this borowed one, until i decide what to get) at 256MB DDR3 is still so much better then integrated.

So i dont think your stuck with that card, I would definately disable onboard video and run just the external card, i believe youll get better quality from it in the short run compared to the HD Integrated card.

Im waiting for price drops this fall/winter and get a 550/560 nVidia or 68XX Radeon. 1GB DDR5

If your motherboard does not have a video out, how can you use it? You'll have to use the 4350. You're "stuck" with the 4350 no matter what.

Ya true P67 = no vid out, you are stuck with it until you buy another card
