2gb ram
1 gb built in graphics
motherboard eg45m-ud2h

im buying new pci express. which card is good for high res. & fastest pci express 4650 or 5450?
my budget is 50 pound. help me plz! im buying tommorow..

If you are just looking for performance and light games & encoding then the 4670.
If all you are doing is 2D work and have a multi display setup then the 5450 is ok but over none of the two are the best for the job.

You might as well save up for a HD5570 or a HD4670. They will both be good enough for what you want to do.

For gaming the HD4650 is the better of those two by a wide margin but I would recommend spending slightly more for this;

4650/70, either way you are going to LAG like every one else but worse. I suggest you start hunting on the second hand market and some times one can get lucky. Landed a working 8800gtx for $32 us.
