ATI 5770 x2 or nvidia gtx 275

I am upgrading from a nvidia gts 8800, to a whole new pc with i7 290 etc, but I'm stuck on what to do for video. I have two displays, a 24" and a 19". I was curious what would be better getting the 2 5770's in crossfire or 1 gtx 275. I would like to run the 19" while playing games on the 24". Is that possible with CF, I cannot find a clear answer? Because if I cannot run both screens in CF while playing TF2, WoW, Aion etc I feel that I would prefer the single card.

Any suggestions?

2 5770s outperform a single 275. 5770CF would also include DX11, whereas the 275 does not. A 275 seems like a waste, so expensive and old compared to the current competition. If CF somehow gets in the way of running a second monitor as you are suggesting, than a 5850 would still be a better bang for the buck over a 275.

2X 5770 is definitely the way to go.
