Ati 5850+Lg D2342P 23"

Hello folks. I am planning on buying this LG monitor, D2342p, and wanted to know if with my GPU, a Sapphire 5850, I could watch movies and play in 3d.

I have doubts because the GPU's especs say it supports HDMI 1.3, but the monitor uses 1.4a.

Thank you and forgive me if the question is just stupid, I'm such a noob on this stuff.

There is a very good chance that your graphic card will not support 3D since that came in with the HDMI 1.4 standard.

3D is available on the Radeon 68XX cards but requires a player that supports 3D movies also, like PowerDVD 11.
