ATI 6670 or 5670 DDR3

Hi,

I have a Gigabyte G31 mother board with Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHZ and 2 GB RAM.

Please advice which graphic card ATI 6670 or 5670 DDR is better, and will it work on my system.

Please help....

Yes, the HD6670 is faster.
As for it working in your system what is the brand/model of your power supply?

I though the card draws from the mobo.

It does, and the motherboard draws power from the PSU.

You are right, better ask in case the PO has a really bad PSU (one of those that blows up) and can't even power a gpu from mobo.

Yeah, the HD6670 is pretty low power and an average 300w PSU should handle it but there's a lot of prebuilt systems with impressively poor power supplies out there that don't meet that standard.

MY SMPS is 450 W

I have bought 5670 1 GB DDR.. and its working fine with 450W...Hopefully thats enough power!!!
