Good Morn Guys and gals,
In putting my machine together over the last week or so, I have run into a problem which I can not readily find the answer to. I have the ATI Radeon 32 All-in-Wonder. I have my cable running through it and on screen just fine. However, I have no sound. I have sound on my other apps such as AVI's, CD's, microphone, messenger chat, etc. But nothing coming from the TV tuner. I have the latest drivers installed AFIK. I am running Win2k Pro with serv pack 2.
I may not even have all the proper cables hoked up yet, as I still have a bunch which have not been plugged in.
I have checked all that I can think of off the top of my head, but I know I'm missing something stupid. Any thoughts or ideas as to what to look for and where?? Thanks for the thoughts. p.s, I'm also running my cable through a surge protector, then a splitter, one line from the splitter goes to the cable modem, the other to the ATI card... Could that have something to do with it? I just thought of that and I'm at work so I can't check it out, but it's an idea. As I said, the cable picture on the screen is fine. Regards.
Have a nice Friday
~Mark

My system consists of:
TEAC 16 X 10 X 40 CDRW
Cambridge FPS2000 Digital Speakers
ATI ALL-N-WONDER RADEON 32MB AGP
Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1
512MB PC-133 SDRAM
IBM 40 GB 7200 RPM
Abit KT7A-RAID
Promise ATA100 PCI Controller Card
Creative Labs Encore 12X DVD
AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.2

Sorry for the dumb question. I decided to take a look at the manual... duh! I need to connect the line out on the ATI card to the line in on my sound card which I'm sure has not been done yet. And I thought I would get to have all these cool looking cables left over..... 🙂 My impatience, stubborness and need for instant gratification strikes again!
Regards,
~Mark

I won't be able to hook up the cables till I get home from work. Heck, that's the only reason I finally decided to look at the manual, I'm at work 🙂 and not on "my" time. I'm sure it will work fine when I connect the cables. It's sorta like wondering why there is no sound coming from the stereo, wonder if I need to run some speaker wire from the stereo to the speakers.... duh.... Have a good day.
Regards,
~Mark

Works like a charm when I hook up the correct cables. Thanks. Now I guess I need to find a home for all the other unhooked cables. They just 'may' cause something else to work! 🙂>Have a good day.
