So I see this problem lots and never see a final solution that works. I found a lead and I am following up on it.
first the problem.
Hydravision release must be for the CCC(catalyst control center)version that you have installed. That being said I have an EAH HD 6970 and when i had ccc12.xx hydravision worked great. Then battlefield 4 came out and I wanted to play it with out having to reinstall my drivers just b4 I played so that it wouldn't crash. Then 13.xx came out and bf4 crashing stopped good job ccc but hydravision started saying that ati drivers not installed.... cancel or reset. I thought my computer was shot because the mb was replaced cause it died but and i though oh no my gpu also fried. No. It turns out that my hydravision works still in those ccc but hydravision stopped supporting my card.
So I've been searching and found a lead but i'm unsure of how to do what I think will work.
So in the hydravision 13-25-0006 the hydra.dat file has two fields that need "req_ASIC_ID=" to be filled in properly. I'm not sure how to change it so that my card will be recognized by the program. Any advanced super users out there than can help..... I loved my hydravision was awesome for changing lots of things on the fly.... and I really miss it and would like to get it functioning properly on my rig with out upgrading just a graphics card that is supported for 300 bucks. I'd rather wait to just build a new rig for 2000$ next year or the year after that but you know save money now.
