Has anyone heard about MediaMax(formally known as 2themax), and SmartVGA? A R9600pro from Mediamax costs only SGD$249!!

SmartVGA has a R9600XT 128mb (samsung 2.8ns) for only SGD$269!

For comparism, my Powercolour R9600pro Bravo (2.8ns) costs SGD$339, a Sapphire R9600XT 128mb cost SGD$345 and a BBA R9600XT 128mb for SGD$399!!! (all prices taken from same store)

I was wondering why are the price differences so large? Do any of u all have any expriences with MediaMax and SmartVGA?

what's the core and memory speed of mediamax's 9600 pro?
Sometimes no name manufacturers use slower memory to lower cost.

Hyper Z III+ and SmopthVision 2.1.

The Former is supposed to help compete against nvidia's <A HREF="http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20030512/geforce_fx_5900-03.html" target="_new">UltraShadow</A> feature, and the Later is supposed to help with very long shader instructions (R300 peters out around 96, the FX has 1024, and the R350 has 60,000+ IIRC).

<A HREF="http://www20.tomshardware.com/graphic/20030306/radeon9800pro-03.html" target="_new">Basic rundown of 'improved' features</A>.

Whether these are practical advanatages (does this generation of cards have the oomph for longer instruction sets?) or not is another question.
