Ati catalyst

Hello,
I've removed the old ati driver and installed the latest one and now my ati technologies folder is empty and there is no sign of driver or ati catalyst control center on my computer.when i try to install again i see the info:its already installed.Can't play games or etc. (and yes i'm pretty sure i've downloaded the right one)

I've had that happen before too. Try this...
Download Driver Sweeper http://phyxion.net/item/driver-sweeper.html and CCleaner http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
Uninstall the AMD driver and CCC. Reboot. Run CCleaner and do clean and registry.
Reboot into safe mode (F8 at startup) and run Driver Sweeper. Search for the AMD driver files and remove any it finds. Reboot to Windows.
Run the AMD driver installation package again.
