Hello,

Out of no where, after I installed 10.6 ati driver for my sapphire 4890, a day later the driver stops responding on windows 7 64 bit and I'm like okay, crappy driver.

I uninstall the driver, restart in safemode, use driver sweeper, then sign back on. I try and install the 10.5 hotfix and it says it didnt have the right hardware or something.

Again I start in safe mode, run driver sweeper, and go back to normal windows.

I try to install normal 10.5, and apparently everything went well. I restart, and there's no catalyst control center, and my resolution can't go up to 1920x1080.

What's going on here?

Im also on w7 64 Bit. I installed 10.6 as well last week and wished i hadnt bothered.
I reverted to 10.3 and they seem fine.
If it was me i would download 10.3. When you run the drivers you get an option to uninstall. Use that instead of driver sweeper. When its finished run the drivers again and run the install. Hope that works for you. I have had CCC not show up a few times and usually a reinstall sorts it out.
