Ati fanboys are in great spirits as they believe the hype of Atis retoric. All this about nvidia being a heap slower than Ati is just belony. As if your 9600pro is gunna beat a 5900ultra at anything, lol, can't you guys see this load of crap for what it really is? Ati being twice as fast as nvidia, jerk , jerk, jerk. Haha i cant wait till the final game is released, im gunna come on this forum and laugh so loud at all the Ati fanboys that have been carrying on over the past few days. If you guys cant see the games these companies are playing with all of you, you need your heads examined. All i can say is don't believe the hype. As if valve arn't gunna come out and get everyone talking about their game. You stupid idiots.

1. Valve don't need to bring up those HEATED benchmark debate to get gamers talking about HL2, as soon as it was revealed at E3 that HL2 is near complete we all in for a treat.

Ion you don't have a clue, really have you any education, don't you see how the market place works. I can't believe some people can be so naive in there own little techno world, like everyone knowes about HL2. Well i suppose we learn something every day.

Well in my year level, there are already plenty of talks about HL2 among fellow students. And not this isnt a small group chat and the number is growing.(we all HL fans though :tongue: )

You may be right Ion, maybe i underestimate the public. You must realise i'm not as clued on as some about the technological side of things. But i have seen a large majority of computer advances and have seen how marketing drives the industry. The computer industry is like any industry that involves large amounts of money in that the people in the advertising and marketing department generally tend to direct the flow of traffic if you know what i mean. I'm sorry if i was a bit rude about the whole issue as i just get a bit frustrated when people jump to conclusions before all factors have been taken into acount. Also i dont mind it if someone verbally abuses me as i get a giggle out of it, so if i seem to encourage it you know why. I just cant wait to play HL2, i'm just hopeing my GF2 will handle it...

I was gonna write a long response to this one, but I have a feeling it will be a waste of time. Go read the facts and educate yourself before posting.... All the info you need is out there. Unless you can provide something worth while and back it up then don't bother, because some of us are smarter than you may think...

I agree with the marketing part. I've seen a lot of incidents that people get fooled by ads or even those "honest" salemen, in the end they fork out more money to obtain inferior hardware...

And i think on GF2 HL2 will look something between HL and quake 3(using DX7) :tongue: .

rramjet, I think your a little ahead of yourself.....
1) even if the 9600 comes close to the 5900 ATI has done it's job. Since it's much cheaper and it holds up perf. wise.....they are selling like hotcakes. The mid market has great margins and good volume. Most people who know what's what think like this....."why buy 5600 when 9600 is faster.....why buy 5900 when 9600 is cheaper and either faster or even ALMOST AS FAST"

and its all been proven FALSE, more than ONCE

what else do you need? things may change with DX9c and the new detonators and perhaps a patch for HL2. but how can you not blame nvidia for not following DX9 specs and for lieing blatantly to the general public ?

It is valuable just some posts need moe time than others, and I type about 120+ WPM (part of my sig is from me being a relay operator for the deaf and hard of hearing [due to my speed]) So replying is no problem, having to refresh and read everyone else's posts takes a lot longer as I can type without looking while reading stuff here reasons for some errors (along with a hobbled system that runs port/virus scan every minute!), and also sometimes my posts switch direction/train of thought halfway through a sentence because I get sidetracked.

Anywhoo, thanks for your support as always. And I don't have a problem with you writing stuff, it's just a distraction. I'm used to their 'Gotcha!' content by now. Don't worry about me, not that you were.
