hey hello we meat again only im on a intal gma 3150,dual core 1.8 and gb of ram now on my old pc.Can you pls tell me if this mobo can support this video cards given

as long as you have PCI-E x16 slot you're good to go. btw i chose nvidia card because all nvidia cards still using PCI-E 2.0 standard which will work just fine with PCI-E v1.x. some 5k series and all 6k series from amd incorporate PCI-E 2.1 which is known to have problem with PCI-E v1.x.

yes u can, but the 8600GT is a rather old card.
depending on your monitor resolution and the games you're playing, u might wanna get something like a HD5670
I am still running an nVidia 8600GT 512MB DDR2 and have no problems with most games, well Battlefield 3 lags like a piece of crap but other than that the only other game that was too laggy was the Witcher 2.

Your RAM is indeed ddr3.
it just runs at lower clocks compared to other ddr3 rams, lowest among ddr3 in fact......and I've always thought 1066 was the lowest for ddr3...
this is your motherboard rite ? Asrock
current mobo is TIGD C13 i asked are the chips for ram smaller just google it and see and post here what you thing

What would the point be of getting a GTX260? the GTX260+ scores JUST above the GTS450. On top of that your processor will bottleneck it due to the low clock speed.

If he's getting a GTX260 for free to replace his IGP, why not ?
he's gonna need to grab a new PSU though

THis is your current motherboard? at this rate, you're gonna need a lot of upgrades, the Atom cant play anything.........
Oh, I'm sorry, I hadn't seen that he is getting it for free. I meant that if he needs to buy it, he should go for the GTS450 instead due to a bit lower power consumption and very close productivity, not to mention it will get better driver updates. But if he's getting it for free. Go for it. But you do need a new PSU, something along the lines of this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371044
This can carry 2 GTX260's with your current rig. Though I highly doubt because your CPU will bottleneck it quite a lot. Your best bet would be getting that PSU, the GTX260 and when you can spare up some money, a Socket 1155 motherboard and an I5/I7 processor. With a rig like that, you will bust any game at high settings and a decent resolution. But if you are looking for a more "humble" System you could just get a good cooler for your CPU and overclock it (I don't recommend it though). Or just go for an I3, those are very good at gaming even if they have only 2 physical cores.

Your PSU will be just fine. Also you might want to look at an ATI card for that processor (that is if you don't get a free nVidia).
But don't worry, even a crap 400W like my old codegen had no trouble running an Overclocked AMD Athlon x2 64 6000+ (from 3Ghz to 3.10Ghz) and my 8600GT which was also overclocked.
