I have my DirecTV coax output connected to my ATI AIW 9000. I just
upgraded to MMC 9.0. If I turn my DirecTV on before I open the MMC, I
just see snow and the tuner buttons are grayed out. If I start MMC
before I turn on the DirecTV, everything works.

I was using MMC 8.7 and I did not have this problem.

Is anyone else having this problem with 9.0?

Same here. I downgraded to 8.9 and it seems to have gone away.

In the TV SETUP>TUNER, click CABLE and use AUTOSCAN.

Unlikely--DirecTV is unless something has changed recently a US-only service
with NTSC output from their boxen.

I had the same problem until I discovered that if I set MMC to Local Antenna
and not Cable as the input it always worked fine. My feed is on channel 4 if
it matters.
Please let me know if this helps you. (I'm using a AIW 8500-DV)
