Which one would be better the Ati radeon HD 4890 in crossfire or the Geforce Gtx 275 in dual sli ? I know the Ati 4890 is a little cheaper but is the gtx 275 worth the extra $40 or $80 and what about Nvidia and there phys x technology how would that affect gameplay for games with phys x

Thats a goodone!
Im in the red corner myself, but im gonna say go green!
The 4890 and 275 are roundabout the same performance wise, but in sli mode, i think the benefit you'd get from having Physx might just be enough for you.
Do you already have either one of these and looking to add another, are are you buying both at once, because price wise, you might be better looking into the Ati 5000 range!
hope this helps

Go to this site and read this article and watch the video:

If the graphics features described in the article and which you can see in the video are something you'd like, then I'd stay with nVidia. If not forget PhysX and buy an ATI. However, there is a 3rd option:

With the new generation ATI cards out, the 5770 may be something you'd want to consider....might even save enough money to get a dedicated PhysX card (8800 GT)

well i'm not sure if i'll get the core i7 960 or the amd phenom ll x4 965 but i might just go for the amd just because its a lot cheaper and then i would get the ati 4890's in crossfire. Also does anyone know how well crysis will play maxed out on dual 4890's at 1920 x 1200 and at 4xAA or at a lower resolution like 1680 x 1050
