So I am currently running the Radeon 6950. I doubt it matters for an issue like this, but at the end of this will be a link for my complete build.

Anyway I'm trying to set up 3 displays with my ATI card.
I have a 24" wide dell screen (Run through an ACTIVE minidisplayport --> DVI --> DVI)
a 28" widescreen I think (HG brand)[[ cable dvi--> HDMI(converter cable)]]
and a 43" widescreen HD vizio tv [[HDMI-->HDMI]]

I can get 2 displays at once with any combination of these 3 monitors. However I cannot get all 3 displays to work at once. I truly dont care to run 1 game through all these monitors, however I'd love to have a desktop that would span to the TV and I was under the impression with, 'the Active adaptor for the minidisplay--> DVI' , that would be easy. I cannot seem a way to do it. Could the DVI--> HDMI cable on the 28" be messing it all up? I dont see why because it will still display with either monitor, not both though.

Please if you have any suggestions or questions, I would love to solve this. Heres the link to my computer

Solution
I personally have had lots of troubles in the past, with Nvidia and AMD, when it comes to running multiple monitors with the use of HDMI. I can't even get two monitors to work if one is HDMI.

well dual screens work fine... I will try with a DVI--> DVI cable tomorrow on the 28" screen and hopefully that will do the trick.

And when u say the display port is active, you would be referring to the cable? I got an accell active minidisplayport-->DVI it says its ATI eyefinity certified up to 1950x1200 so I dont see the issue with that

Here is the link to the adaptor I got. It is very much active.

And to clarify once more. I dont really want eyefinity, I want 3 extended desktops.

Any other ideas, or do you think I should drop another $200-250 on another HD6950. Kinda upset because half the reason I got this was to run a 3 display setup. But I'll do what I gotta do.

The DVI-->DVI didn't help on the 28"

This was exactly the problem it wouldn't run 3 displays with the HDMI port. =\
Anyway got it going with the 28" going DVI-->DVI-->HDMI

And Using the DVI--> HDMI cable for the TV..
I wish I could get sound running thru the TV though.
Another day another problem.

Thanks everyone!
