ATI Radeon HD 4200 single monitor settings

I have the ATI Radeon HD 4200 (AMD Chipset Product Family). It updated recently, now, when I am playing games (Bubbletown, Cubis Gold 2) and the mouse cursor goes to any of the edges of my monitor (I only have one monitor), the game pauses and minimizes and I am at my desktop. Sometimes icons on my desktop have been moved as if I dragged them.

I have seen instructions for this that say to right click on the desktop, choose properties and 3 pictures will come up, that does not happen. It did not do this until it updated. I found a box that said to role back to previous driver, I did that but nothing changed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate ultimate on a HP Pavillion desktop, the monitor is a HP S2031.

right click on desktop
select screen resolution
check to see if your monitor is the only display

also make sure your games are set to your native resolution of your monitor
if the games are in windowed mode at a lesser resolution than your monitor is at
that could cause the problem

First of all, thank you so much for replying.

My monitor is the only one showing when I right click & select screen resolution.

my screen resolution is 1600 X 900, which is higher than what I had when I originally downloaded the games.

I couldn't tell what resolution the games are set for but I found and changed these options:
Bubbletown - changed screen detail from medium to high
Cubis2 - confined cursor
Big City (hidden items) - changed to maximum quality.

I tried all 3 games after making these changes and the problem seemed to be solved.
