Hello,
I have EVGA X58 with SLI ready MoBo, with Intel Core i7 920 CPU, 4GB 1600 triple channel RAM. I cannot decide whether go for HD 4770 512MB DDR5 or GT 9800 1GB GDDR3. Any advice for this?

Thanks,

Let me think. Without having any idea how you use your computer I would recommend..... wait, how can I recommend which is better when I have no idea what you do? Or what screen resolution you use?

Not enough data. Does not compute.

Evga x58 boards that support sli also support ati crossfire. The 4770 is a better choice and also more powerful. Do you have a 6 pin pci-e power connector ? Also here is a 4770 crossfire article. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-4770-crossfire,2288.html HD 4770 In CrossFire: Unbeatable At $220

Another review where both 1 and 2 4770's are tested against other cards.

My MoBo's spec says that it supports SLI ready, but it doesnt say anything about Crossfire. How can u be sure that it supports Crossfire? and yes it has 6 pin connector, dunno what you mean by pci-e, but it supports pci 6 pin connector

I googled it , I was curious myself. A evga tech answers it at evga boards.

Correct, all EVGA X58 boards support Crossfire.
This applies to x58 and 1156 boards. Not older nvidia chipset boards.
Also crossfire support in some of these boards DOES NOT mean sli support.
But as I originally stated, Evga SLI x58 +1156 boards support ati crossfire in those same slots.
