HI Every Body I Need To Buy New Video Card and I Don't Know What Is Best

ATI Radeon HD 5670 OR NVIDIA Geforce 9800GT

My PC:

Phenom II X3 720 BE
MA78GN-US2H
Ram:2 GB

My Screen 17 CRT And I Will Upgrade It Soon To 22 LCD

Need To Know What Is Best ATI Radeon HD 5670 OR NVIDIA Geforce 9800GT

Honestly, a 5770 is going to beat the hell out of either one of those cards, and is better suited to the power of your CPU.

Unless you're absolutely limited to $100, skip both the 4770 and the 5670. If you spend the extra $60 or so, in a couple of years you'll be very glad you did.

In terms of performance... 4770 > 5670. In terms of features and power consumption, 5670 is better. If you're into gaming and those are your only two choices, 4770. If you can come up with a little more money, the 5750 would be better.

I was going to recommend the 4850 since it is at about $100 for the 512mb, but considering you only have a 350w psu. You MIGHT be able to get away with the 5670. A 4770 might require too much power for you psu.

Ouch. That kind of changes things.

You can probably run a 5670 on that power supply, but I wouldn't risk a 4770 or 4850. Or a 5770 for that matter. You're probably looking at another $40 for a reliable PSU that will run any of those.

So ... if you're absolutely stuck at $100 AND you have power issues, then I guess the 5670 makes sense. It'll work fine at the lower monitor size. Not as well on the bigger monitor.

But if you're upgrading your monitor also ... that tells me you've got a way of getting more than $100 total for a video card. Seriously, if you're going to a bigger screen, this is not the time to be cheap about your video card and have it come back to bite you later. Wait a month or two if that's what it takes, and scrape together another $50 or so to get a 4850 and new PSU. Better still if you can get another $100 and the 5770.

The 4770 is faster than the 5670. Sure it could be argued that the 5670 has DX11, but if Dirt 2 is any indication that's not too much of a selling point ^_^. At current prices, go with either a 4770 or a 4850, whichever you can get cheaper. If you're willing to pay a few more bucks, you can pick up a 5750.

thanks for u

If the budget increased to 170$ What better card could be owning؟؟؟

The 5770 kills anything else at that price range

Although that only leaves $15 for a new power supply, when you really need about $30-$40 to get a decent one to power that card.

If that's an issue, you can either pick up a 5750 for about $135 and have enough left over for a PSU

Or you can get a 4850 for about $110, which will give you similar performance to the 5750 except that it doesn't have DirectX 11.

Also, whichever card you get, I'd make sure to get the 1GB version. Your new monitor is right at the size where 512MB *MIGHT* start being a hinderance but might not .. but you're better off not taking that chance.

I would be careful running a 5770 on a 350watt, I had a 430 watt thermaltake that was really 355 watt, which is wrong of thermaltake to advertise that as 430, anyway I was running a 9800GT EE on it then i upgraded to a 5770 and it worked out fine, then I did some more research and it was a risk that I was running that gpu with psu thats only 355Watt, Make sure you have atleast a High quality 400 watt psu to run anything over like 115Watt at peak
