ATI Rage Fury Maxx 4X on K7V?

Is it possible to enable AGP 4X on the Asus K7V mobo? I've had the card for a few months now, but the damn thing only runs with AGP 2X enabled. I have the lates drivers from ATI and VIA. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Well it's bad news I'm afraid. The ATi Rage Fury MAXX only operates at a maximum of AGP 2x speed, so you've got it going as fast as it can. The only link it has to 4x speed is that the card will work in an AGP slot that can do AGP 4x - it's just that the MAXX won't do that speed.
