A bit of a PR hype tool.

Got to ATI's front page, and they have this banner tease;

"We have what you want"

Then you click, and it offers you a signup list name/email.

After you sign-up it says, "BE READY!"

Interested, go to their site <A HREF="http://www.ati.com/" target="_new">http://www.ati.com/</A>, I signed up just to see by the clock on the e-mail whether or not they get the info to me before THG, [H], 3Dcenter, Digit-Life, B3D, Anand, Xbit, Rage3D, the InQ or any other number of sites.

OOOOoooooohhhhHHHHH, be the first to know, AAAAaaaaaahhhhhhHHHH!

I post in others occasionally (mobo, sound, cell [dead]), and even the 'OTHER' forum, but only when I see friendly faces making follie threads which are worthy of attention, hard to follow 'other' threads. I tend to stick to graphics cards, Tv/Video,and OC 3Dchips.

Funny thing is I do tend to try and conserve posts, simply for time purposes. At work I just don't have time to respond to 3 people in 3 posts, instead, just consolidate them into one post.

Could increase my totals, but really, not worth the effort. Some of the stuff that goes on in the OTHER forum, similar to the post above is only to bring up rankings. Makes them meaningless IMO.

I don't care about the ranks, but I would like to get a nice purple name, like Borsti's is RED, and Scammy's is Orange. That would be the only thing I'd shoot for.

Heck I enjoyed being an enthusiast or member, really more aptly describes what we are here IMO.

But whatever makes the world go round. I'm still a nOOb double digit (single sometimes) poster in many other forums. This was the first place I decided to actually post to instead of just poaching a read without giving back.
