You have a PCI version of the All In Wonder?

Those don't work at all with Nvidia cards.

I recommend not using an All in Wonder at all... I mean, they're always
in the $400 range upon release... and when you want a new card you have
to dump your tuner features = /.

MSI has a nice tuner, does MPEG2 and has a built in FM radio.

It's only $65 too.

I know regardless of the card, that video-in demands being "on" the primary
display. Sort of a catch 22 as when it's primary means the nVidia card even
if you get both to work together in that configuartion can't be used for 3d
accelerated games (at least most of them).

FYI, ATI PCI TV Wonder card is *not* the all in wonder, it is a tv tuner
card.

to the OP, I have had problems using NVidia video cards with the ATI TV
Wonder card that is in my wife's machine. So I threw a cheap ATI video card
in, and everything is fine. It also worked ok with the Matrox G400. Go
figure!

I just saw this post, I used to run my tv wonder with a tnt2 ultra
and a geforce 2 gts. You had to go into reg and edit overlaymode.
Change the number from anywhere between 0 and 4.

It ran better with the nvidia cards after the reg tweak than with my
radeon 900 pro.

It's because the Catalyst drivers are required to run any ATI card.

So what occurs is an ATI invade on your sterile Nvidia sys. ; )

I was just checking out the ATI PCI TV Wonder yesterday... for $49 it
seemed like a good idea considering it was the only one with a sexy
silver remote just laden with buttons, then I remembered my own advice.

I could've had a lot of fun with that card too... the remote acts as a
mouse, oh well, I guess I can't be as lazy as I wanted to be.

Did I mention I'm using voice recognition? hehe

Hauppage offers a competitive card, priced exactly the same.

For $20 you can get their PCI TV version with an FM tuner.

Or, for the same price as the ATI PCI TV, you can get an MSI tuner with
full resolution realtime MPEG2 encoding:

ass=vga

For Nvidia compatability (especially with MSI cards) I'd say go with
MSI's card.

Pinnacle offers their own budget tuner, which also costs $60, but
performance with Pinnacle's home products haven't been too great for
me, so I'd only recommend it if you could find a good deal.

Your cheapest and possibly best option, would be to use a video card
with ViVO (video in - video out) and use a VCR.

The cat drivers don;t run tv wonder cards, thats a seperate download.
As I said in my other post, I actually had better tv wonder
performance with my 2 nvidia cards than with my current card, radeon
9700 pro.
