Ati TV Wonder USB - audio connection

Hi all.
I have a laptop (omnibook xe3) that doesn't seem to have an audio line in. It only has a mic-in and a headphones-out.
I know that the WinTv tuners do have an audio cable which needs to be connectd to a line-in of the soundcard.
Is it the same with TV-Wonder USB? Because I have heard that the sound passes through the USB. Is this right?

p.s. Is it possible that the mic-in can behave as a line-in , too?

I have the AIW Radeon, and it does have the line in that goes from the Video card into the Sound card but to answer with somewhat deference, yes, the Mic in can be used as a line in, just make sure that the recorder volume input on your volume control is not muted and you may have to raise the volume and have the windows sound recorder on so that you can here the sound.

If it works for you then don't fix it.
