So by this we can expect the RV360 to also be called the R9600XT. Seriously there was a gap that had no good filler (see my old post on this).
I don't mind, there was talk at one time of an R9800MAXX with dual VPUs, just in case the FX5900U clobbered it completely. So the TX isn't surprising.
I just hope this means tey xpect the RV380 to fill the gap and perform above the level of the R9800s,however that may be little too much to hope for.
It's interesting the statemen about the respin and it not bein believed to warrant the new numbers, especially since people are talking about a significant boost in performance (<A HREF="http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/display/20030822085942.html" target="_new">see X-bit Labs article</A>).
I still think the R9800FRO would have been sweet!

FYI, the R9100 is actually faster than the R9000 and R9000Pro in most cases. And the R9200 performs slower than the R9100 and R9000Pro.
