Attaching a 5.1 speaker to a pc with only green and blue output

I recently got a logitech z506 5.1 set. My B350 board doesn't have the connections for the black and yellow wires, so I've only attached the normal green cable. It works, but I'm curious if it makes any difference if I use the extra audio cable or not.

Would it do anything if I plug in either the black or yellow cable to the blue jack? Or is it better to just leave it?

EDIT: Apparently, the pink jack doubles as mic in and central out. Guess it's all fine now.

Plugging the black cable in to the blue jack allowed the rear speakers to function. I'm guessing the yellow one is to activate the center speaker. My question now is, can I use another green cable to connect that yellow input to the headphone jack to my pc? Or does it have to be specifically a yellow cable? The included cable is two headed, so I'd have to rip them apart to get the yellow one all the way to the front. So I might have to use another green cable.

Would a headphone jack even let the center speaker function like the speaker is designed for?
