Attaching a different fan to CPU cooler

Hi guys,

I wanted to use one of my Tt Riing 12 RGB fans on the cpu cooler, and wondering if it was possible, and need a recomendation for a cheap heatsink.

I am on a tight budget, so I dint really want to spend too much for the Cpu cooler that Thermaltake already sells.

my socket is 1151 on a z270 board

P.s. is there any way to mount a case fan instead for the intel's stock cooler?

Check out the Cooler Master Hyper 212 and Thermalright TS120M. Both are solid budget options.
