I have a MSI GE75 2020 laptop with the following specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 10750H
RAM Memory: 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
Hard Drives: 1 TB + 512 GB SSD Samsung
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super mobile 8GB DDR6

I need a laptop because I had to move for work, was 2000 USD laptop back in 2020. I can run every new Total War game very well with 70 fps on average (more depending on game) with almost everything maxed but with Attila Total War, in a combination of Max. Quality and Quality settings I get 66 fps on average in benchmark, however in big battles I start with 80 fps and when units collide I have 16 fps and after some time when battle is almost over, fps increase again. Why is this happening? Only happens in Attila total War. Even other strategy games run very well on my computer, with stable fps, I am not noticing overheating or similar issues in the computer.

Solution
Likely Atilla is simply not as well optimised as the other total war games.

You could try updating graphics drivers. Sometimes they add optimisations for specific games into the drivers.
What is the cpu temperature when the fps drops?

The scenarios you describe are more cpu intensive and laptops with this cpu are well known for overheating and throttling performance.

I installed MSI afterburner to monitor temperatures and I am getting:
  • GPU Temperatures: Ranging from 60C to 78C
  • CPU Temperatures: Ranging from 75C to 90C all the time, even when battle starts and I am at 80 fps, but keeps in the same range when fps drops to 20s, most usual temperature is 84C
  • GPU usage is between 25% to 60%
  • CPU usage is never above 65%

Ok that rules out my idea, those temperatures are fine for this setup.

Thank you. Is the first time I try MSI afterburner to monitor temperatures in this laptop and I am happy is working well as I was about to purchase MSI GS65 Stealth but read this one has overheating issues. My MSI GE75 Raider is giving me good performance in other games, including other Total War games.
